Bamboo has become a material that is in great demand and is used in everything from fabrics and clothes to furniture, flooring and countertops. By way of TreeHugger I found Core77 which has a 2 part series that discusses the popularity and demand of bamboo along with the processing and "green" characteristics of the products. Like everything else it's buyer beware. Links to Part 1 and Part 2.
I apologize for being away the last couple of days. Having some network problems and connectivity has become intermittent at best. I have also decided that I will not be making regular posts on Saturday and Sunday. I will do my best to post 5 posts per week and hopefully one a day. Thanks for reading.

Being a grass bamboo grows pretty fast and is very sturdy and makes a lot of sense.
But why are bamboo products so expensive? I remember when you could buy a bamboo fishing rod dirt cheap.
