DuPont to Pay 8.3 Million for Polluting Tap Water

The toxic industrial chemical perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA), also known as C8, was found in the tap water of nearly 5,000 southern New Jersey homes. DuPont has agreed to pay 8.3 million dollars to install water filters in the homes affected.
