The NY Times had an article with the title
The High Price of Cheap Eats. I think the title speaks for itself. A scary thing is that Burger King came out with
Flame, a charbroiled burger scented body spray. If they can make a liquid that smells like cooked burgers I can only imagine what they're putting in what they sell to make it smell and taste like food.

My wife is an ER Nurse, and she has seen more than her fair share of unhealthy people come through her hospital.
I can't say that they have all been a victim of bad/fast food, but I'm sure that there are some that rely on fast food for their primary nourishment.
I'm fortunate enough to be able to buy fruit & veggies & be discerning about what we put on the dinner table. There are many people who need to rely on the $1 double cheeseburger for energy, and once they get into that habit it is hard to get out.
I'm not sure what the ansewer is, but I just consider myself lucky!
