Greensumption

I don't know much about the organization or individual behind this video but as far as I'm concerned Greensumption speaks volumes about the general perception on environmental issues. I do agree that changing consumption patterns can make a difference. I'm afraid, this video shows what many people are thinking.

hi febutterfly.ur video post was really thought provoking.but there r not only the bigger issues at large but also the smaller issues that make for a big package.what i mean to say is, we cause pollution by smaller things such as shampoo bottles, deo cans, plastic bags, damaged electronic waste and the list goes on.my contention is that if rather throwing away these things after use, if the companies cud recall their empty containers by giving some concessions, it wud not only reduce pollution significantly but wud also lower the production costs.and ultimately wud cost lesser than wat it cost before.so its a win-win situation.and not only that there cud be various other ways. but if my voice can be heard by someone then i think i cud suggest more.but i liked ur blog.keep it up.....

Chinmoy,

You are absolutely correct. The little things add up to make a big impact. I know where you are coming from on the packaging issue. It drives me crazy and I spend a lot of time separating and sorting to ensure every bit can be recycled. I wonder why it even comes that way in the first place. Many deposit programs have been eliminated in favor of recycling. I think deposit/return programs for bottles and similar items will alleviate some problems since the producers and retailers will be responsible rather than only the consumer. We shall see what happens.

I agree with you Sommer the sarcasm is hilarious. When I first watched I found the woman so oblivious it was hilarious.
